Whole-Body Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a treatment that uses cold temperatures to promote natural healing and wellness before or after workouts. Whole-body Cryotherapy alleviates muscle soreness by exposing the body to temperatures colder than -200°F for approximately three minutes. For average workout warriors and athletes of all levels, Cryotherapy can help make sure you don't miss a workout due to injury or soreness.

The Cryosauna is a cylindrical chamber where the actual cryotherapy treatment takes place. The treatment uses gasiform nitrogen to rapidly lower the skin's top layer to 32°F while cabin temperature drops to a range of -20°F to -274°F. During the two to three minutes of extreme cold, the brain stimulates the body's organ regulatory functions, resulting in increased energy, cell rejuvenation, immune system boost, and overall system self-healing.

Cryotherapy has become an effective recovery method for muscle and joint injuries, as well as a way of helping prevent future injuries by significantly reducing post-workout inflammation after strenuous exercise. One of the most crucial and oftentimes overlooked components of a healthy workout program is the recovery process, and Cryotherapy can play a pivotal role not only in healing but maintaining optimal strength and conditioning.

Anti-Aging Benefits

Cryotherapy often works at the surface level as well. The effects of Cryotherapy can extend beyond the muscles themselves as oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood makes its way back to the surface of the skin following a treatment. A fountain of youth? Not necessarily. But it has been shown that cryotherapy assists in achieving a more youthful appearance by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, as well as other signs of aging. Smoother skin and a healthier complexion, plus increased metabolism help add to the list of reasons why Cryotherapy could be a nice addition to your overall health and wellness.
